The Celebration of Faculty Excellence

 On February 15, 2011 South Dakota State University recognized 23 faculty members, researchers and scientists as well as one of its colleges at its annual Celebration of Faculty Excellence banquet. The event honors faculty members in each of the university's seven colleges for outstanding research, teaching and service.

The Technology Transfer Office was honored to be able to award 4 winners of the Pat and Jo Cannon Intellectual Property Commercialization Award. The winners we as follows:

    * Pat and Jo Cannon Intellectual Property Commercialization grand prize to Mahdi Farrokh Baroughi, assistant professor of electrical engineering and computer sciences;

    * Pat and Jo Cannon Intellectual Property Commercialization runner up award to Ruanbao Zhou, associate professor of biology and microbiology, and Bill Gibbons, professor of biology and microbiology;

    * Pat and Jo Cannon Intellectual Property Commercialization runner up award to David Francis, professor of veterinary and biomedical sciences.
